This looks pretty much just like the original (gamma-wise).

Ninja Parade

Sense.

<img style="display:block; I fell in love with this at the Pixar exhibition in London! Now I don't have to explain it (although even these pics & movies still don't do it true justice - it was just incredible)

The Pixar Zoetrope

via VNOG Blog by Victor Navone on Jul 12, 2006

Looking through my files I stumbled upon this movie of the 3D Zoetrope from Pixar's exhibition at the NYC MoMA earlier this year, and I realized that it probably hasn't been posted anywhere. So here it is! It's a 4.2 MB mp4 movie, and of course it doesn't approximate in the least how cool this contraption looks in person. This is real 3D animation. There's plenty more information on the Zoetrope and the rest of the exhibit (which I believe is in London now) at the Luxo Blog.

You can see more of my personal photos from the exhibit here.

Penlight animations

http://tochka.jp/pikapika/2006/06/report_pikapika_in_kitijoji.html

Heat Vision and Jack!

This has to be the most awesome (I use that word too much, I know) tv show that there could ever be… I present to you:
Heat Vision and Jack
Here’s the blurb from YouTube:

“The 30 minute pilot is about an astronaut (played by Jack Black) with a medical secret who is on the run from the evil Ron Silver and the rest of NASA, with the help of a talking motorcycle called Heat Vision (voiced by Owen Wilson).”

Mixing the best elements of every great 80s tv show is a formula for immense success. It’s a new wildlife series by the BBC which has the most amazing photography I’ve ever witnessed. Ever seen a giant great white shark leap completely out of the water with a seal in its mouth shot at what appears to be 5000fps? I have to admit I don’t see that sort of stuff all that often. I guess it helps to have a helicopter and an HD camera that can shoot up to 1.5 kilometres away.

This is going to be great to have on HD-DVD / DVD / Betamax to view with the future grandkids to show them what the planet was like before the subsequent melting / flooding / overheating / <insert impending global catastrophe here>…

Awesome.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/animals/planetearth/

3D optical illusion rooms

This is exactly how I’m painting my house: 3D painted optical illusion rooms

Amazing architecture

You might not have seen many of these buildings before: http://www.uniquedaily.com/articles/TMULBOOEE.html

Go on, touch the screen...

I want one of these.
